Job Description

Our Merchandising team ensures that we have the right products, atthe right time, in the right place and in the right quantities.

Reporting to the Seniormerchandiser, this role helps to maximise profit & minimize costsby maintaining efficient stock flow, through effective management of stock into DC, and allocation and distribution of stock to all channels.

Accountable formaintaining accurate information relevant to stock, purchaseorders and shipping.

Key responsibilities include

  • Reports
  • Create reports for the merchandising teamand business on a weekly basis. Assess the data provided to check thevalidity, relevance and accuracy of the data provided.
  • Manipulate reports and analyseinformation to formulate conclusions.
  • Accurately update, monitor and maintaindata sources to ensure information is updated for ad hoc and routinereporting purposes.

Work with reports to improve efficiency of thedepartment.

  • In Season Trading
  • Create and maintain reports to support analysisof department & channel performance. Recommend any action(s) based onfindings
  • Providenecessary Trend Analysis to support Designers in making sound Buying/Design decisions.
  • Stock Management
  • Support the branch merchandiser on Storeallocations & replenishments.
  • Raise new product codes, descriptions andbarcodes in agreed format to manage the accuracy of data in Futura Retail System.
  • Raise Purchase Orders for each season& communicate with the Buying team.
  • Ad-Hoc Reports/Analysis
  • Support growth of both the Trade and Consumer business by providing all necessary analysis/reports required tomake profitable decisions.
  • What you’ll bring
  • Retail background essential
  • Goodworking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, confident using formulas & manipulatingdata with pivot tables.
  • Comfortableworking in a fast-paced environment & working to deadlines.
  • Greatpeople and communication skills.
  • GCSE 5 or above in Math – a passion fornumbers & analytics
  • Experience working in a retail environment, whether on the shop floor or in a head office role, would be highlypreferable
