Database Developer London-based | Hybrid (3 days in-office) | Full-time
We’re an independent, creative company looking for a talented Database Developer to join our London-based technology team. You’ll help maintain and evolve a custom-built, business-critical data platform that underpins everything from legacy operations to modern digital delivery.
This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in our London office (typically Tuesday–Thursday). Core hours are 10am–6pm with some flexibility available.
The Role

  • Translate feature requests into efficient, scalable database solutions
  • Build and maintain tables, views, and functions
  • Support testing and ongoing improvements to the data platform
  • Monitor performance and implement iterative enhancements
  • Work closely with business users to understand and interpret data needs

You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years\’ experience in SQL/database development
  • A passion for clean, elegant solutions and real-world business impact
  • A collaborative, analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail
  • Comfort working from loosely defined requirements
  • Strong skills in Git (or similar) and experience with release/version control

Bonus Points

  • Experience in data-heavy creative or media industries
  • Passion for the arts
  • Familiarity with structured metadata standards (e.g., DDEX ERN or RDR)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL , AWS RDS , and S3
