As we strengthen our collaboration with Daikin UK and Daikin Europe, we are investing in someone who can bring clarity, structure and insight into how our business operates from end to end.
The Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to become one of the few people in the organisation who truly understands how each department contributes to Saltire’s overall service delivery.
Through a structured 6 month cross departmental development programme, you will immerse yourself in:
- Call centre
- Administration
- Finance & Accounting
- HR
- IT
- Central Purchasing
- Operations
Alongside UK based learning, you will also participate in tailored onboarding visits to Daikin UK (London) and Daikin Europe (Belgium) to build best practice knowledge and international perspective.

Key responsibilities
- Business Process Understanding & Mapping
- Analyse and document end to end business processes across all departments.
- Produce clear process maps, flow charts and system diagrams.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and optimise workflows.
- Translate operational needs into structured business requirements.
- Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Support departments in redesigning processes for efficiency, compliance and scalability.
- Help remove unnecessary manual steps by improving process logic or integration.
- Work with IT and system owners to ensure proposed solutions align with business needs.
- Contribute to projects that enhance digitalisation and data flow.
- Act as a central point of coordination for mapping interdependencies between teams.
- Facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to build mutual understanding.
- Communicate complex ideas in a simple, clear and pragmatic way.
- Review existing tenders during training to build deep understanding of operational requirements.
- After onboarding, prepare and support tender documentation with accurate process input.
- Provide business insights that strengthen bid consistency and credibility.
- Training & Group Integration
- Attend structured learning visits to Daikin UK and Daikin Europe.
- Bring back best practices that can be applied within Saltire.
- Help harmonise processes where alignment adds value.
- What we’re looking for
Education and Skills
- Master’s degree in Economics, Commercial Engineering, Business Engineering, Business Analytics or similar.
- Strong IT affinity — ability to understand workflows, systems and data (no programming required).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, including diagramming and logical modelling.
- Ability to analyse complex information and structure it clearly.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in business analysis, process improvement, operational excellence, transformation or similar.
- Experience with workflow or ERP/CRM/service management systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with operational or service driven environments preferred.
