A growing engineering consultancy is looking for an ambitious and technically capable Associate Temporary Works Engineer to join our expanding engineering team in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead and deliver temporary works solutions across a diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the management, coordination, and delivery of temporary works designs while supporting project teams and mentoring junior engineers. This is a hybrid role based in their Central London office, with:

  • 3 days per week in the office
  • 2 days per week working from home

Key Duties:

  • Lead the design and coordination of temporary works solutions for construction projects
  • Prepare and review temporary works calculations, drawings, and technical reports
  • Ensure designs comply with BS 5975, Eurocodes, and relevant health and safety legislation
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, architects, and permanent works designers
  • Attend project meetings and site visits as required
  • Provide technical support during construction stages
  • Review and approve temporary works designs prepared by others where appropriate
  • Support the implementation and management of temporary works procedures
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management

Role Requirements:

  • Proven experience in façade design and detailing within the construction industry
  • Strong technical understanding of curtain walling, cladding systems, glazing, rainscreen systems, and associated interfaces
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
  • Experience using Revit/BIM is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and façade performance requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Relevant qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ relevant industry experience
