Salter Grange are seeking a proactive Senior Design Manager(s) to join a leading Main Contractor on exciting London projects. We have two opportunities available for the right candidates:
- Residential/Student Accommodation Project – c. £100m+ student scheme and £100m+ office-to-hotel conversion.
- Commercial Fit‑Out/Refurbishment Project – c. £50m, part of nationwide frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate design teams from PCSA through delivery (RIBA stages 2–5)
- Manage design schedules, information release, risk registers, and document workflows (Aconex/Fieldview)
- Ensure design quality, compliance, and collaboration with Project Managers and subcontractors
- Support pre‑construction activities, including planning conditions, surveys, BREEAM, and design scopes
- Mitigate design risks and maintain the golden thread of information
Requirements
- HNC/Degree in Design Management, Architecture, or similar
- Experience in new build residential or student accommodation, or commercial fit‑out projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Positive, proactive attitude and a passion for collaborative working
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
