A leading UK developer and contractor specialising in delivering high-quality residential, hotel, and student accommodation projects is looking for a MEP Design Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to support the management team to ensure all MEP systems are fully managed and in line with UK building regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing MEP design development from concept through to construction
- Support the Senior Design Manager with coordination between architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants
- Review MEP drawings, models (BIM), and technical submissions for compliance and buildability
- Help ensure designs align with volumetric/offsite manufacturing constraints and efficiencies
- Attend design meetings, make meeting notes and contribute to technical discussions
- Track design progress, RFIs, and design changes
- Support value engineering and design optimisation processes
- Liaise with site teams to ensure design intent is delivered during construction
- Assist with commissioning, handover, and technical documentation
MEP Design Coordinator Requirements:
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering
- Proven experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
- 1–2 years of experience in a related field
- Experience with a Main Contractor is a distinct advantage
- A self-starter with excellent communication skills who thrives in a team environment
