The Role: You will take ownership of the full tender lifecycle, from initial bid/no-bid decisions through to final submission and handover. This is a client-facing role where your ability to build relationships and present confidently will be just as important as your technical expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing accurate, competitive estimates and tender submissions
- Developing winning tender strategies aligned with business priorities
- Analysing tender opportunities and making clear bid recommendations
- Managing supplier and subcontractor input to inform pricing and design
- Preparing and presenting tender documentation to internal stakeholders and clients
- Ensuring all submissions are high-quality, compliant, and submitted on time
- Supporting smooth handover to delivery teams upon project award
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in estimating / tendering within construction
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Highly organised with strong planning capability
- Proficient in MS Excel and Bluebeam (or similar)
Desirable: Membership of a professional body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Chartered Institute of Building (or equivalent industry experience).
