Salter Grange is recruiting a Mechanical Lead on behalf of a leading international contractor delivering a major Data Centre project in the Netherlands. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a market-leading business working on high-value, technically complex projects across Europe, with clear progression opportunities and a strong project pipeline.

As Mechanical Lead, you will take ownership of the mechanical package, overseeing site operations, programme delivery, subcontractor management, safety, quality, and commercial performance from installation through to project handover.

Mechanical Lead Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Mechanical package on a large-scale construction project
  • Manage site safety, quality assurance, and compliance
  • Coordinate subcontractors and monitor programme delivery
  • Control labour, materials, plant, costs, and project variations
  • Produce weekly progress, labour, and safety reports
  • Attend client, design, planning, and coordination meetings
  • Manage project documentation, snagging, and handover processes
  • Support commercial activities, change management, and cost control
  • Drive project delivery to meet programme and client expectations
Mechanical Lead Requirements:
  • Mechanical trade background with a relevant third-level qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering or a similar leadership role
  • Proven experience coordinating large-scale construction projects
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Data Centre or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
