An award-winning Main Contractor focused on delivering a variety of high-rise residential, commercial, and hospitality projects across London, is currently seeking a Junior Design Manager – MEP focused to join their thriving team. The successful candidate will be Mechanically biased but well-rounded in both disciplines and come from a consultancy background with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience.
The successful Junior MEP Design Manager will join a financially robust company with a £400m turnover and a proven commitment to employee development and career progression and work on a diverse portfolio of high-value projects, typically ranging from £100m to £200m.
Junior MEP Design Manager Responsibilities:- Implement and maintain robust design processes, effectively addressing any deviations or exceptions to keep projects on track.
- Act as a key point of contact, coordinating closely with suppliers and the Design Integrator, efficiently resolving queries and fostering strong teamwork.
- Ensure all designs prioritise ease of maintenance, health, safety, and welfare, strictly adhering to project design management plans.
- Collaborate seamlessly with quality, engineering, and delivery teams to achieve streamlined and successful project outcomes.
- A degree or professional qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in managing MEP design, including a strong understanding of detailed design principles and relevant industry policies and standards.
- Large-Scale Project Acumen.
- A practical understanding and application of the Construction Regulations.
