Salter Grange is currently recruiting a Mechanical Lead to support a leading and award-winning General Contractor in the Data Centre sector. Ideally, candidates will have extensive experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager/Lead on Data Centre projects or large-scale industrial or healthcare projects.
In this role, you will oversee the installation/management of Mechanical systems on site, ensure site safety, drive a culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental practices, manage project schedules and costs, coordinate subcontractors, and oversee day-to-day site operations. Ideally, the Mechanical Lead should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar position and come from a trade background or degree-qualified.
Mechanical Lead Responsibilities:- Overseeing procurement of sub-packages/contracts and materials
- Liaising with clients over design variations
- Managing full site team (including 3rd party subcontractors)
- Ensure projects are delivered to a high quality in line with the set specification and budget
- Always ensuring health & safety is followed
- Managing weekly design, progress, and commercial meetings
- 3-5 years’ experience required.
- Strong technical ability in all aspects of Mechanical Services and Design.
- Proven record in coordinating and managing large projects.
