About the role
Salter Grange is seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Technician to join a growing Facades Team for an engineering consultancy based in London. The successful candidate will support the production of high-quality façade detailing and fabrication drawings, working closely with designers, engineers, and project teams on a range of commercial and residential projects.
Key responsibilities
- Produce accurate façade detailing and fabrication drawings in line with project requirements and industry standards
- Work independently on assigned tasks while coordinating effectively with small project teams
- Assist in the development and coordination of façade packages, from design through to fabrication
- Ensure drawings are compliant with relevant UK standards, regulations, and best practices
- Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design and technical issues
Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in façade detailing and fabrication drawings
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within small teams
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with curtain wall systems
- Experience with rainscreen cladding systems (preferred)
- Understanding of façade construction methods and detailing
- Experience working within the UK market
- Familiarity with UK building regulations, standards, and façade industry practices
