External Site Manager – Major Residential Development, South East London Duration: Long-term (temp to perm) A leading residential developer is looking for an experienced External Site Manager to join a major residential development in South East London. This is a large-scale, multi-phase development comprising 500+ residential units, alongside extensive landscaping, public realm, commercial space and associated infrastructure. The project is well underway and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of the external works package. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of external works across the development, coordinating multiple subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to a high standard. Key responsibilities will include: Managing external works across a large residential development Coordinating landscaping and hard landscaping packages Overseeing paving, kerbing, roads, footpaths and public realm works Managing drainage and associated external infrastructure Coordinating subcontractors and labour Managing daily site activities and sequencing of works Monitoring progress against programme Ensuring works are completed to specification and required quality standards Carrying out quality inspections and managing snagging Coordinating external works with the wider construction team and residential blocks Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the site Attending meetings and providing progress updates to the senior site teamThe successful candidate will have a strong background in external works on large-scale residential developments. You will ideally have experience with: External works / public realm on major residential schemes Hard and soft landscaping Paving, kerbing and roads Managing external subcontractors Working across multiple blocks/phases High-quality residential developments Strong programme, quality and health & safety managementEssential: SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid are required, knowledge of mixed brickwork and precast facades.
