Salter Grange is currently partnered with a forward-thinking and award-winning property development company to recruit a Senior Development Manager to join their team to lead on the delivery of a project.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing a development from early-stage planning through to delivery and handover. Success in this role hinges on your ability to manage multiple stakeholders, navigate complex planning processes, communicate clearly across departments and partners, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee full project lifecycle: from brief preparation to planning approval, construction, and final handover
- Develop robust development programmes and drive project teams to meet strategic goals
- Build and manage multidisciplinary internal teams and coordinate external consultants
- Lead negotiations with local authorities, planning consultants, and other third parties
- Manage and nurture key relationships with joint venture partners, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout
- Regularly report on development appraisals, risks, costs, and delivery progress to internal leadership
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working within a Tier 1 property developer
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and development processes
- Demonstrable experience in leading large-scale projects and managing multiple third-party stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and coordinate internal and external teams
- Experience working within joint venture structures, with a solid grasp of governance and partner relations
