Quantity Surveyor Major High Rise Student Accommodation Project Location: East London Contract: Freelance / Temporary Start Date: Immediate / ASAP We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on one of London s flagship residential developments. This is a landmark c.50 storey, 1,000 bed purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in East London, currently entering a key phase of construction. The successful candidate will have a strong background in RC frame high rise new build projects and be confident managing commercial activities on large, complex developments. Key Responsibilities Commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement through to final account Preparation and agreement of interim valuations, variations and change control Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages Management of subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts Risk and opportunity management Supporting the Commercial Manager in delivering the project within budget Liaising with site teams, design consultants and client representativesEssential Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on RC frame new build projects Experience working on high rise residential, PBSA or mixed-use developments Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and commercial management Ability to work independently within ...
