Mechanical Supervisor - Europe
Salter Grange is recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor for a leading European engineering and construction contractor. The client delivers complex data centre, advanced technology and life sciences projects for some of the world's biggest organisations.
As Mechanical Supervisor, you'll run day-to-day mechanical operations on site, covering HVAC and plumbing. You'll be responsible for making sure works are delivered safely, on programme, on budget and to a high standard.
Mechanical Supervisor Key Responsibilities
- Manage site safety and QA, from setting up the files through to close-out, with the Safety Advisor and Mechanical Package Manager.
- Manage the programme alongside other trades, package leads, consultants and the client.
- Help control package costs, including labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, variations and valuations.
- Manage subcontractors: track progress and manpower, and hold weekly meetings.
- Plan weekly look-aheads and schedule material deliveries to match the programme.
- Manage snagging and punch lists, and close out O&Ms, safety and QA files.
- Produce weekly progress reports, keep a daily site diary and report labour hours.
- Attend site, planning, engineering and handover meetings.
Mechanical Supervisor Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering (BEng or MEng). A specialism in HVAC with at least 70 ECTS credits is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar role, covering HVAC and plumbing installations.
- A trade background and a proven record of coordinating large, complex projects.
