Mechanical Package Lead
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Lead to drive the successful delivery of mechanical works on a flagship project in Zurich. Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading European engineering and construction contractor delivering major data centre and mission‑critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical package delivery, ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are achieved.
- Manage day‑to‑day site operations, subcontractors and labour resources.
- Monitor project costs, variations, materials and plant requirements.
- Coordinate progress reporting, commercial reviews and change management activities.
- Oversee QA documentation, snagging, O&M manuals and project close‑out deliverables.
- Attend client, engineering and coordination meetings, proactively managing risks and delays.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability and high performance across the project team.
Qualifications
- Trade background with a relevant third‑level qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Package Lead on large‑scale construction projects.
- Proven track record coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery, commercial awareness and programme management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and MS Project.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
