M&E Commissioning Manager Location: West London Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) Salary: Competitive + benefits The Role Reporting to the M&E Project Manager, you will manage the commissioning of all MEP systems. You will make sure commissioning is completed in line with the construction programme and that systems operate in accordance with the design and current regulations. Your scope goes beyond commissioning to any construction or installation issue that could affect it. You will work closely with the MEP team and the wider project management team to identify and resolve blockers early. Key Responsibilities Review design and installation for commissionability, and make sure installations are complete and compliant before commissioning begins Set the overall commissioning sequence and manage a rolling four-week look-ahead covering works, sign-offs and witnessing Witness testing and commissioning, and coordinate consultant, NHBC, Building Control, Secured by Design and statutory authority inspections Review trade contractor trackers, programmes and certification, and collate all commissioning documentation ready for O&M approval Manage the O&M issuing and review process, including weekly audits of document submittals on Asite Produce, monitor and close out snag lists that affect commissioning Chair and minute the weekly MEP commissioning meeting, and report progress internally every day and to the wider team weekly or fortnightly Keep testing and commissioning RAMS up to date, and make sure permit-to-work and electrical safe systems of work are followed Carry out regular site H&S audits and enforce site rulesSystems Include LTHW (boilers, CHPs, HIUs), CHW (chillers, FCUs), generators, sprinklers and wet/dry risers, MEV/MVHR, underfloor heating, drainage, smoke ventilation, HV/LV/ELV including NICEIC certification and ATS, access control, security and CCTV, fire alarm and VESDA, evacuation and disabled refuge systems, BMS, FIRS, metering, gas, combined networks, integration with existing phases, lifts and associated systems, and Part L compliance. About You A proven track record as an M&E Commissioning Manager, ideally with a balanced mechanical and electrical background Confident reading programmes, drawings and specifications, with a strong grasp of design principles, method statements, ITPs, risk assessments and handover requirements A valid SMSTS card, a City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in building services, mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred but not essential)What next?
