Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading European engineering and construction contractor delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Lead to drive the successful delivery of mechanical works on a flagship project in Zurich.

Mechanical Package Lead Requirements:

  • Trade background with a relevant third-level qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Package Lead on large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven track record coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery, commercial awareness and programme management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and MS Project.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Mechanical Package Lead Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical package delivery, ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are achieved.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, subcontractors and labour resources.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, materials and plant requirements.
  • Coordinate progress reporting, commercial reviews and change management activities.
  • Oversee QA documentation, snagging, O&M manuals and project close-out deliverables.
  • Attend client, engineering and coordination meetings, proactively managing risks and delays.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability and high performance across the project team.
