Salter Grange is seeking a dedicated EHS Advisor to join a European leader in construction solutions. Our client delivers complex, high-stakes engineering projects for the world’s leading corporations—from Hyperscale Data Centres to Advanced Technology and Life Sciences. In this role, you won’t just be monitoring safety; you will be part of a culture that has the courage to be innovative. As an EHS Advisor, you will be a vital partner to the Project Management team. You will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of robust EHS management systems, ensuring that every phase of the project lifecycle meets the highest global standards of safety and compliance.
EHS Advisor Responsibilities:- Implement and maintain EHS management systems in line with Tier 1 Safety Management standards.
- Coordinate the development of Method Statements (RAMS), Risk Assessments, and Permits to Work.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections, documenting findings and proactively driving corrective actions.
- Act as the subject matter expert for management and employees, providing EHS input at site meetings and recommending continuous improvements.
- Manage ongoing COSHH assessments and support project-wide waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
- Coordinate site inductions and training, lead toolbox talks, and assist in comprehensive accident investigations.
- Ensure all statutory inspections for tools, plant, and equipment are meticulously recorded and maintained.
- A Third-level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety is essential.
- Minimum of 3 years’ site-based EHS experience, ideally within large-scale industrial, data centre, or pharmaceutical projects.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of European EHS legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT systems. You must have a flexible, adaptable approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to manage EHS issues proactively and the confidence to advise senior project leadership.
