We are currently recruiting for an experienced External Manager to join a highly respected main contractor delivering a landmark £30m hotel refurbishment project in South West London. With a strong reputation for delivering complex refurbishment, heritage, and high-end construction schemes across London, our client continues to secure an impressive pipeline of work and offers the opportunity to be involved in some of the capital's most challenging and rewarding projects. This role will take ownership of the external package, with a particular focus on a significant roof replacement program. We are looking for someone with previous experience delivering similar works on refurbishment, hotel, commercial, heritage, or occupied building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all external works packages on site
- Overseeing a large-scale roof replacement program
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring programme targets are achieved
- Monitoring quality, health & safety, and compliance standards
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team
- Managing logistics and sequencing of external works within a live refurbishment environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an External Manager, Senior Site Manager, or Site Manager
- Strong background in roofing and external envelope packages
- Experience working on refurbishment and cut-and-carve projects preferred
- Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme performance
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
