Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer for a major data centre project in Vienna, Austria.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a large-scale, technically complex data centre project, working closely with the Electrical Project Manager and wider construction team.
Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise electrical installation works on site.
- Plan and schedule daily works for electrical teams and subcontractors.
- Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, ensuring progress against programme.
- Supervise the installation of electrical systems, equipment and materials.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with safety standards, permits and relevant codes.
- Coordinate electrical works with Civil, Mechanical and other project teams to avoid clashes.
- Review method statements, work procedures and technical requirements.
- Track scope changes, engineering changes, technical queries and non-conformances.
- Liaise with the Electrical Project Manager on design requirements and project issues.
- Monitor site progress and report key issues to senior management.
- Support and develop electrical team members, including training and performance management.
Electrical Engineer Key Requirements
- Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer or Industrial Engineer.
- 10+ years' experience in a similar Electrical Engineering role.
- Previous data centre experience is essential.
- Strong experience supervising electrical installation works on major construction projects.
- Good understanding of electrical construction, coordination and site delivery.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong IT and engineering software skills.
- Ability to manage workload, prioritise effectively and work independently.
- Strong team leadership and subcontractor coordination skills.
