Salary: From £35,105 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota between 7:30am and 8:30pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading residential property operator for a Maintenance Operative to join a busy, high quality living environment in Canary Wharf.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out day-to-day reactive maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, decorating and general building fabric repairs
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) inspections and routine building checks
  • Inspect communal areas, plant rooms and resident spaces, reporting and resolving maintenance issues promptly
  • Work alongside contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using digital reporting systems
  • Support compliance with health & safety, fire safety and statutory building requirements
  • Respond quickly to maintenance issues and emergencies as required
  • Work closely with the wider site team to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a facilities, estates or building maintenance role
  • Good all round maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and general repairs
  • Experience working within residential, commercial or hospitality environments
  • Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices to complete maintenance records
  • Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays
