Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading residential property operator for a Maintenance Operative to join a busy, high quality living environment in Canary Wharf.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out day-to-day reactive maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, decorating and general building fabric repairs
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) inspections and routine building checks
- Inspect communal areas, plant rooms and resident spaces, reporting and resolving maintenance issues promptly
- Work alongside contractors, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using digital reporting systems
- Support compliance with health & safety, fire safety and statutory building requirements
- Respond quickly to maintenance issues and emergencies as required
- Work closely with the wider site team to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents
- Previous experience in a facilities, estates or building maintenance role
- Good all round maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and general repairs
- Experience working within residential, commercial or hospitality environments
- Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices to complete maintenance records
- Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays
