Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Azure Senior Systems Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for delivering, supporting and optimising critical infrastructure systems across Azure, Microsoft Intune, O365, and Active Directory. You will act as a subject matter expert, a key escalation point for complex technical issues, and play a lead role in ensuring service reliability, security, and disaster recovery planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for Azure, Azure AD, Intune, and Windows Server technologies.
- Manage and support Azure Virtual Machines, networking, and cloud integrations.
- Lead on Intune policy sets, mobile device management, and application packaging.
- Provide 3rd line support and act as escalation for infrastructure-related incidents.
- Maintain and optimise Directory Services, Server Infrastructure, and Disaster Recovery processes.
- Ensure adherence to IT security policies, implement improvements, and escalate risks when required.
- Support project delivery including design, deployment, and technical recommendations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership where required.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth running of all infrastructure services.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in a similar Senior Infrastructure / Systems Engineer role.
- Expert knowledge of: Microsoft Azure & Azure AD (VMs, networking, identity management).
- Microsoft Intune (MDM, application deployment, policies).
- Windows Server environments and O365.
- Strong background in infrastructure support, design, and delivery within enterprise environments.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining security standards and disaster recovery.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
