We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Terraform Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic infrastructure team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure as code using Terraform. We are looking for someone who is passionate about infrastructure technologies and automation, and who is eager to make a significant impact on our projects. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage our compute and backup infrastructure
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of our infrastructure resources
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are efficient and effective
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Optimize infrastructure costs and resource utilization
- Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform using best practices and support implementations from development to production
- Cooperate with application teams to support and deliver solutions and new capabilities, driving the change to develop innovative ways to resolve issues
- Build new tools and automate to take maximum benefit of our infrastructure capabilities, including automating tools for troubleshooting, diagnostics, and other purposes
- Translate security requirements from Security Architects into technical designs
- Review design specifications to ensure a full understanding of individual deliverables
- Write and update technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, technical standards, and training materials
Requirements:
- Proven experience (4-5 years) in infrastructure automation (IAAC)
- Knowledge of traditional IT architectures in Distributed Systems (Virtualisation, Windows, Linux, Storage, Containers)
- Knowledge of compute (HCI/CI), backup (Cohesity) or storage platforms (NAS, S3, SAN) are an asset
- Knowledge of networking and core Internet protocols
- Familiarity with software development tools like Azure DevOps and Terraform (Enterprise)
- Expertise in Terraform, including: Writing Terraform modules in HCL
- Strong understanding of software delivery processes and best practices
- Release management (release notes and documentation about changes)
- State Management and Configuration Management
- Good knowledge of TFE providers (Nutanix, VMware, storage, …)
- Good knowledge of Ansible, Tower, python, PowerShell, bash, C##, .NET, Rest/Open API, Power BI, YAML, JSON
