Salt are partnered with a leading global media and publishing organisation, and they are looking for a Freelance Project Manager to join on a contract basis.
Location: London (4 days on-site)
Day Rate: Up to £400 per day (Inside IR35)
About the Role:
This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced commercial content team, delivering high-profile digital and print campaigns for major clients. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery across branded content initiatives, working with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are executed to a high standard and within agreed timelines and budgets. The role blends structured project management with hands-on delivery, requiring strong coordination across internal departments, external stakeholders, and creative teams. You’ll oversee multiple campaigns simultaneously, ensuring seamless execution from concept through to final delivery, while also keeping a close eye on performance and commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of branded content projects across digital and print channels
- Deliver native content campaigns and bespoke deliverables, supported by media plans
- Coordinate with internal teams including editorial, creative, and production
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects of varying scale and complexity
- Maintain strong stakeholder and client relationships, providing regular status updates
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and P&L tracking with attention to detail
- Analyse campaign performance, including digital and social metrics
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all campaign outputs
- Support production processes including photo and video shoots where required
Requirements:
- Proven project management experience within digital advertising, media, agency, or publishing environments
- Strong understanding of branded/native content and campaign delivery
- Experience managing both digital and print production workflows
- Solid knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies and tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Confidence in financial management, including budgeting and reporting
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and content publishing
- Understanding of SEO principles (keywords, metadata, link equity)
- Experience using analytics tools to report on campaign performance (e.g. Google Analytics)
- Knowledge of production processes for shoots and creative delivery
