We have partnered with a unique, hugely important organisation whose work touches and impacts a wide range of the population. They are looking for a Senior User Researcher (FTC) to join a hugely impactful internal project. You will be joining an internal UCD team comprised of Service Designers, Product Designers and Content Designers to re-imagine a portal used both internally and by external partners. The overall goal is to build a fully digitised platform, replacing existing manual/non-automated processes.
From a Research perspective, this means building a clear understanding of user needs, challenges, and opportunities that will inform the 'to be' solution. It’s the type of role that requires a highly pragmatic, broadly skilled Researcher who thrives in knotty, complex environments. It will also suit someone with experience on internal programmes of work with a high level of complexity.
Your Research experience:
- You have experience using a range of Qual, Quant, and mixed-methods approaches, and know how, when, and why to use them.
- Breadth across the UR lifecycle - from defining participants to conducting research through to sharing insights.
- You’re an excellent facilitator - both in workshops, and in environments with complex stakeholders.
- It’s really important that you have worked and are comfortable working in large organisations - this will not be the right role for someone who has not worked in an enterprise/corporate environment previously.
The important details:
- This is a fixed-term 12-month role starting in March-April 2026.
- The salary is up to £75,000 + flexible cash benefits + bonus.
- 2-stage interview process.
- Hybrid working (London).
- You will either need to be SC cleared, or be prepared to go through the clearance process.
