The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) / IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Developer to join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for delivering and supporting enterprise integration and messaging solutions within a complex financial services environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on business-critical systems, designing, developing and maintaining high-performance integration services that support large-scale transaction processing. You'll be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, working closely with analysts, developers and business stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable and high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) / IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
- Produce detailed technical designs and program specifications from high-level functional requirements.
- Develop, test and deploy high-quality integration services and message flows.
- Configure and develop solutions using IBM MQ.
- Produce deployment documentation and automated deployment scripts.
- Create and execute unit and subsystem test plans.
- Support application integration and production deployments.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews and technical discussions.
- Perform proof-of-concepts to validate solution designs and meet performance and throughput requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
- Work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams to deliver solutions on time and to a high standard.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE v12) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB v10+).
- Experience developing and supporting IBM MQ / WebSphere MQ solutions.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with Oracle databases.
- Experience working with Oracle database design.
- Good knowledge of Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Experience with XML and JSON message formats.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration and messaging architecture.
- Experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and solution designs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: SWIFT ISO 15022 and/or ISO 20022 messaging standards.
