Senior Business Analyst (Based in Dubai)
12-month initial contract – with extensions
As an IT Business Analyst , you will work closely with stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to define requirements, improve processes, and deliver cutting-edge solutions in the wealth and investment management domain . You will play a critical role in shaping IT initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving business efficiency.
Candidates must have experience in projects within Wealth & Investments within the banks, such as Equities, Trading, Derivatives, Wealth, Crypto.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects in banking, wealth, and investment management .
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure project success.
- Define functional specifications, workflows, and system integration requirements .
- Work on core banking system enhancements, digital transformation initiatives, and regulatory compliance projects .
- Ensure IT solutions align with business goals, regulatory requirements (MiFID, Basel III, FCA, etc.), and industry best practices .
- Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and feasibility studies for new technology implementations.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and facilitate end-user training sessions.
- Act as a liaison between business teams and IT to resolve issues and improve system functionality.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of IT Business Analysis experience in banking, wealth, or investment management .
- Strong knowledge of wealth management platforms, investment products, and trading systems .
- Experience with business process re-engineering, system migrations, and data analysis .
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies .
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, SQL, Visio, and other BA tools .
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (MiFID, FATCA, Basel, GDPR, etc.) .
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills .
- Business Analysis certification (CBAP, BCS, PMI-PBA) is a plus .
