- Implement structured data properly
- Proactively monitor anomalies and regressions
- Work directly in Shopify (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS)

How to prepare for a job interview at Salt
✨Know Your Technical SEO Inside Out
Make sure you brush up on your technical SEO knowledge before the interview. Be ready to discuss specific strategies you've implemented in the past, especially around indexation, canonical logic, and Core Web Vitals. This role is all about ownership, so demonstrate how you've taken charge of similar projects.
✨Showcase Your Hands-On Experience
Since hands-on experience with Shopify and coding is crucial, prepare to talk about your practical work with Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Bring examples of how you've improved site performance or fixed issues in the past. Real-world examples will make you stand out!
✨Be Ready to Analyse
Expect to dive into some technical discussions during the interview. Brush up on how to analyse Googlebot behaviour and monitor anomalies. You might be asked to solve a hypothetical problem, so think through your approach to troubleshooting and improving crawl efficiency.
✨Emphasise Outcomes Over Activity
This role values results, so be prepared to discuss measurable improvements you've achieved in previous roles. Whether it's boosting traffic or enhancing Core Web Vitals, focus on the outcomes of your actions rather than just the tasks you completed. Show them you’re results-driven!
