About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of communications solutions specialising in wholesale voice services, is seeking an experienced Partner Buying Manager to join their Carrier Commercial team.

This is a sourcing-focused role, with a strong emphasis on the buying and selling of wholesale voice minutes and carrier voice commercial management.

You will be responsible for negotiating and managing high-value commercial agreements with both internal stakeholders and external carrier partners, ensuring the procurement of key components for Cloud Numbering and other voice-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate high-impact commercial agreements with wholesale voice carriers and service providers.
  • Source and procure voice minutes and numbering resources across multiple geographies.
  • Develop and maintain an international Cloud Number inventory with strong commercial terms.
  • Implement scalable fulfilment processes across 80+ countries.
  • Drive continuous service and commercial improvements with selected suppliers.
  • Leverage market intelligence and industry benchmarking to secure competitive deals.

Must-Have Experience & Skills

  • Wholesale Voice Industry Background — direct experience in carrier voice commercial management or the buying/selling of minutes.
  • Track record of working for or with global carriers such as BICS, Tata, iBasis, Orange International Carriers, Telia Carrier, PCCW, IDT, BT Global or similar.
  • Strong understanding of voice interconnect agreements, termination/origination, rate sheet management, and margin optimisation.
  • Familiarity with A-Z lists, Least Cost Routing (LCR), and fraud prevention in voice traffic.
  • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to adapt strategies to changing market conditions.
  • Experience in managing suppliers within a matrix, multinational environment.
  • Business degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Knowledge of Cloud Numbering, DID provisioning, and international telecom regulations.
  • Experience in unified communications, identity masking, or global conferencing services.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Execution of commercial agreements to expand wholesale voice and Cloud Number coverage to 80 countries.
  • Delivery of fulfilment processes with each internal or external supplier.
  • Maintenance of an international Cloud Number pool to meet customer demand.
