Contract: Initially 3-6 months

Day Rate: £110 per day

IR35: Inside IR35

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Shifts: Between 08:00-18:00

We are recruiting for an experienced IT Service Desk Analyst to join the Digital Services function of a large NHS community healthcare organisation. The role will provide first-line technical support to clinical and corporate users, acting as the first point of contact for IT incidents, service requests and technical queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, application and network incidents.
  • Log, classify, prioritise and manage incidents and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot issues remotely and provide first-time fixes wherever possible.
  • Install and configure desktop software.
  • Administer user accounts and system access in line with security policies.
  • Escalate unresolved incidents to appropriate specialist support teams.
  • Provide clear technical advice and guidance to users with varying levels of IT knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate service desk records and documentation.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience working within an IT Service Desk, IT support or similar customer-focused technical support environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11.
  • Experience handling and troubleshooting IT incidents and service requests.
  • Strong customer service and telephone support skills.
  • Good technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • ITIL Service Management knowledge or equivalent experience is advantageous.
