An IT firm is looking for a PART TIME (3 days a week) IT Engineer (Support) to work across the Educational sector (Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Academies, Universities or Colleges) in Liverpool and Merseyside.
Skills & Tech:
- Minimum 4 years hands‑on experience in a senior IT support or systems engineer role within education.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve server failures independently — OS, hardware, RAID, and virtualisation.
- Strong Active Directory and Group Policy experience — real‑world deployment and troubleshooting, not just basic administration.
- Hands‑on cyber security experience — incident response, endpoint protection, web filtering, and Cyber Essentials.
- Confident with Microsoft 365 administration across the full suite.
- Solid networking knowledge — VLANs, managed switches, wireless, firewalls, and routing.
- Experience with MDM platforms — Mosyle, Jamf, Intune, or equivalent.
- Able to work completely independently — you do not need supervision to resolve complex technical problems.
