Launch your career in technology sales. Are you ambitious, competitive and motivated by the opportunity to build a successful career? We're partnering with a leading specialist technology distributor to find the next generation of commercial talent to join their established graduate sales programme. This is an opportunity to start your career in a fast-paced, high-performance sales environment, working with some of the world's leading technology brands and developing expertise across some of the most exciting areas of the technology industry. You don't need previous sales experience and you don't need to already be a technology expert. We're looking for people with the attitude, potential and drive to succeed. You'll receive the training, coaching and technical knowledge you need to turn that potential into a successful career.

The business is an established specialist technology distributor working with leading global technology vendors and customers across the UK and internationally. The business operates across rapidly growing areas of technology including:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
  • Cybersecurity
  • Cloud Technologies
  • Data Centre Infrastructure
  • High-Performance Computing
  • Enterprise Technology Solutions

They have built a high-performance, entrepreneurial sales culture where ambitious people are given the opportunity to develop quickly, take ownership and build successful commercial careers.

As a Sales Executive, you'll learn how to develop new business, build commercial relationships and ultimately manage and grow your own portfolio of customers. Your role will include:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Speaking with prospective customers and building relationships
  • Understanding customer challenges and identifying appropriate solutions
  • Learning how to prospect, qualify opportunities and overcome objections
  • Working alongside leading global technology vendors
  • Developing your negotiation and commercial skills
  • Managing and growing customer relationships
  • Working towards individual and team sales targets
  • Building your knowledge of emerging technologies and markets

You'll be given real responsibility, with your earning potential and career opportunities growing alongside your performance.

We're much more interested in your potential than your previous experience. You'll need to demonstrate:

  • Ambition - you want to build a successful career and you're prepared to work for it.
  • Commercial drive - you're motivated by targets, results and the opportunity to earn well.
  • Resilience - you can deal with setbacks and rejection and come back stronger.
  • Communication - you're confident speaking to new people, asking questions and building relationships.
  • Cognitive agility - you can absorb new information, think on your feet and adapt your approach.
  • Coachability - you listen to feedback, learn quickly and put advice into practice.
  • Competitiveness - you enjoy achieving goals and want to perform at a high level.
  • Accountability - you take ownership of your performance and make things happen.

Most importantly, you'll bring a positive attitude, energy and a genuine desire to succeed.

This is much more than an entry-level sales job. You'll be joining a structured graduate programme designed to give you the foundations for a long-term career in technology sales. You can expect:

  • Structured sales training
  • Technical education and development
  • Mentoring from experienced sales leaders
  • Ongoing coaching and support
  • Exposure to leading global technology businesses
  • Real customer responsibility
  • Clear career progression
  • A performance-driven environment
  • Significant earning potential through commission

The assessment process involves a short screening process before being invited to an in-person Graduate Assessment Day in Basingstoke. Rather than focusing solely on your CV or previous experience, the assessment is designed to understand how you communicate, think, learn and respond to challenges. We'll be looking at areas including:

  • Communication and confidence
  • Commercial thinking
  • Resilience
  • Objection handling
  • Cognitive agility and problem solving
  • Teamwork
  • Coach-ability
  • Motivation and drive

We're not expecting you to arrive as a finished salesperson. We're looking for the potential to become one. If you're ambitious, commercially minded and ready to start building a career in one of the world's fastest-moving industries, we'd love to hear from you.
