An established and market-leading provider of SaaS solutions for the construction and built environment sectors is looking to appoint a Pre-Sales Engineer to join its growing Commercial team. The business develops innovative software solutions that support construction professionals throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning and scheduling through to project delivery and asset management. The Role

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer interaction and thrives in a consultative, solutions-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective customers.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate software solutions.
  • Support the Sales team throughout the sales cycle by providing technical expertise.
  • Produce technical responses for RFIs, tenders and customer proposals.
  • Assist with solution design, technical documentation and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to communicate customer feedback and enhancement requests.
  • Work alongside Marketing to support webinars, events, product content and sales enablement activities.
  • Deliver internal product training and technical knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
  • Stay up to date with construction technology trends, competitor solutions and market developments.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A consultative approach with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across Sales, Product, Marketing and Development teams.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland when required.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within Construction Technology, BIM, Project Planning or Project Scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of Asta Powerproject or similar project planning solutions.
  • Experience producing technical documentation, proposals or sales enablement materials.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
