SALT is working with a leading FMCG company in the Beauty space, seeking a freelance Category & Consumer Analytics Manager to join the team on a 6-month project. This role is responsible for building and maintaining a robust understanding of consumer purchasing behaviours and demographics, delivering insights to brand and functional teams, and demonstrating how these insights can be turned into actionable strategies. This role ensures that the consumer remains at the centre of decision-making across marketing, communication, omni-channel strategies, and broader regional plans. The role involves turning complex data into accessible stories, providing analytics that inform current decisions and future strategies to maintain competitive advantage and grow market share.
Immediate start, 6 month contract. Hybrid working in London.
You will:
- Lead the analytics function, activating strategies across consumer, channel, creative, and category areas.
- Build analytics pillars for the region, including data translation, visualisation, modelling, and predictive analytics.
- Drive education and implementation of analytics capabilities across the organisation.
- Manage first-party data ecosystems and partner with third-party and retail partners for data-sharing processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to identify trends and opportunities.
- Lead organisational transformation within the analytics team.
- Serve as the primary contact for regional brand analytics requests and support.
- Work closely with global and regional analytics teams to ensure alignment and share best practices.
You will need:
- Strong experience in category and consumer insights, with experience performing analytics, segmentation, and campaign management using SQL.
- Previous experience operating large-scale CRM systems, and knowledge of tech stacks.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerBI.
