We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Security Solution Architect for a daily rate contract (rate flexible, depending on experience). The role offers a hybrid working model – requiring only 8 days onsite per month in Belgium, Amsterdam, London, or Paris, with the rest worked remotely. This role is pivotal in delivering end-to-end security architecture solutions across complex environments, ensuring resilience, compliance, and alignment with enterprise standards. You will play a key role in bridging strategic enterprise architecture vision with hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end architecture solutions across infrastructure and security domains, meeting business, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, target architectures, and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with product owners, enterprise architects, engineers, and security leaders to translate requirements into robust technical designs.
- Develop and contribute to reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, and best practices.
- Support delivery teams, providing both strategic direction and technical depth.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to present, influence, and advocate for architectural recommendations.
- Mentor and coach architects and engineers to strengthen solution architecture practices.
Must-Have Experience & Skills
- 10+ years’ experience in IT, with a strong track record as a Solution Architect on large transformation programs.
- Proven expertise in Cyber Security architecture, ideally in regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (SABSA, NIST, ISO 2700x).
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SAFe) and Agile delivery models.
- Ability to operate at both strategic (roadmaps, reference models) and detailed technical design levels.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Knowledge of financial services or post-trade infrastructures (CSDs).
- Background in Identity & Access Management (IAM), PKI, cryptography, or resilience architectures.
- Exposure to European regulatory frameworks (NIS2, DORA, GDPR).
