A global consulting firm is expanding its London-based Customer Data Science capability within its wider customer, digital, and marketing practice. This capability sits at the intersection of customer experience, data science, and applied AI, supporting large consumer-facing organisations to improve commercial performance through advanced analytics and GenAI-driven solutions. The team is in a growth phase, with strong investment and increasing demand for senior talent who can lead delivery and shape client engagements.
You will take ownership of customer data science workstreams on complex client engagements, combining technical expertise with leadership and commercial responsibility. This is a hands-on consulting leadership role where you will still engage in analytical work while primarily driving delivery, client outcomes, and team performance.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end customer analytics and data science workstreams
- Owning delivery quality, timelines, and client outcomes
- Designing and implementing customer, marketing, and commercial analytics solutions
- Leading development of predictive models and advanced analytics approaches
- Applying GenAI / LLMs to customer and marketing use cases
- Managing and mentoring junior team members
- Supporting proposal development and shaping new opportunities
- Acting as a key client interface on engagements
Requirements:
- Strong experience in customer DS, marketing DS
- Advanced Python and SQL capability
- Consultant Industry Experience preferable, but open to Consumer Services, or Agency
- Proven experience delivering machine learning models (predictive, classification, segmentation, forecasting)
- Experience applying GenAI / LLMs in real-world use cases
- Strong client-facing consulting or stakeholder management experience
- Ability to lead workstreams and drive delivery in complex environments
- Experience translating data into commercial and strategic insight
Ideal Profile:
- 6+ years' experience in data science, analytics, or consulting roles
- Proven experience leading delivery within client or commercial environments
- Comfortable balancing hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities
- Exposure to consumer-facing industries such as retail, FMCG, financial services, or digital platforms
