A leading beauty brand is hiring a Community Lead to shape how the brand connects with its audience in real time—driving conversations, building engaged communities, and ensuring a strong cultural presence across social platforms. This is a strategic, insight-led role focused on defining what the brand says, why it says it, and how it performs. You will own community strategy, social planning, insights, and engagement—ensuring every interaction builds brand relevance, credibility, and love.

The Role
As Community Lead, you will take ownership of the end-to-end community ecosystem, translating audience insight, cultural trends, and performance data into impactful social engagement strategies. Working closely with brand, influencer, and content teams, you will help evolve the brand from simply creating content to building an active, engaged, and culturally relevant community.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the community strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms
- Translate brand and campaign objectives into clear community and engagement plans
- Build and manage the social content calendar, balancing planned, reactive, and community-led moments
- Define and maintain tone of voice across all social interactions
- Oversee day-to-day community management, ensuring timely, on-brand, and meaningful engagement
- Foster conversations that drive trust, advocacy, and brand affinity
- Identify and engage high-value community members, including creators and brand advocates
- Monitor performance metrics (engagement, sentiment, growth, share of conversation) and use insights to optimise strategy
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights for wider teams
- Feed learnings into campaign planning, creator briefs, and content direction
- Stay ahead of social, beauty, and cultural trends to ensure the brand shows up in relevant conversations
- Collaborate closely with content, influencer, PR, and brand teams to align activity across channels
- Proactively identify opportunities to scale always-on engagement and community-led content
- Recommend new tools, formats, and approaches to improve performance and efficiency
About You
- 3–5 years’ experience in community management, social strategy, or digital marketing (ideally within beauty or lifestyle)
- Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram and how audiences behave differently across platforms
- Proven ability to translate data and performance into actionable insights
- Experience using social listening, analytics, or reporting tools
- Strong instinct for tone of voice, engagement, and community building
- Highly organised with experience managing multiple workstreams and content calendars
- Passion for beauty, haircare, and social culture
- Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
