Salt are working with one of the UK's best known online retail businesses, on a mission to make every shop a genuinely enjoyable one, built on great range, dependable service and honest value. They are looking for a Lead Product Manager to take ownership of the experiences that connect their customers to the brand and their commercial partners. This person will shape everything from the moment a customer lands on the homepage through to the content that inspires them and the media placements that surround them. The goal is simple to say and hard to do well: make every touchpoint feel effortless, engaging and clearly tied to where we're heading as a business.
About the role
You’ll take the lead on their retail media proposition, making sure onsite placements feel genuinely useful and relevant to shoppers while also delivering commercially. Alongside that, you’ll own a wider product area spanning the homepage, category and landing pages, SEO/GEO, and their design system. Sitting at the point where deep technical capability meets commercial strategy, you’ll use data and customer insight to bring content and media together into a shopping experience that stands out. Your focus throughout will be on cracking meaningful customer and commercial problems and moving the product metrics that matter.
What they’re looking for
- Previous experience shaping media, content or homepage experience for a consumer product.
- Strategic and decisive - comfortable defining a vision and cutting through organisational noise to focus on what will actually move the needle.
- Genuinely customer-obsessed - you draw on both hard data and human insight to shape experiences people love.
- A strong communicator - you can bring people with you and keep momentum going, whoever's in the room.
- Accountable - you take ownership of tricky problems and drive them to a resolution, partnering well across teams.
What’s on offer
You’ll join a business that’s genuinely at the sharp end of online retail, working alongside people who like to push at what’s possible. On top of that, they offer a strong package that typically includes:
- Health & wellbeing: private medical cover (with the option to add family), remote GP access, generous family leave, mental health support, dental cover and gym discounts.
- Financial: annual bonus, matched pension contributions, generous staff and retail discounts, and an electric vehicle scheme.
- Time and flexibility: hybrid working (Hatfield), a generous holiday allowance plus flexible bank holidays, the option to buy more leave, and time to work remotely each year.
