My new client is looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation, cloud migration, and security enforcement. This role focuses on building and maintaining secure, automated, and scalable Azure environments while enabling enterprise-level cloud adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) and automation scripting (Python, PowerShell).
- Lead and support cloud migration projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
- Enforce cloud security policies including RBAC, policy-as-code, and Zero Trust architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in an agile environment, writing user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Azure environments to ensure reliability, cost efficiency, and security.
- Partner with security teams to drive cloud security automation and compliance enforcement.
Required Skills:
- Proven expertise with Azure services (compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring).
- Strong proficiency in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Expert using GitHub commands and migrating from GitHub to a team foundation server (TFS).
- Hands-on experience with Python and PowerShell scripting.
- Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles and cloud security best practices.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Agile delivery mindset, including the ability to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical tasks.
- Experience with Perforce (Bonus).
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate
- DevOps and/or Kubernetes certifications
