My new client is looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation, cloud migration, and security enforcement. This role focuses on building and maintaining secure, automated, and scalable Azure environments while enabling enterprise-level cloud adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) and automation scripting (Python, PowerShell).
  • Lead and support cloud migration projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
  • Enforce cloud security policies including RBAC, policy-as-code, and Zero Trust architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in an agile environment, writing user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Azure environments to ensure reliability, cost efficiency, and security.
  • Partner with security teams to drive cloud security automation and compliance enforcement.

Required Skills:

  • Proven expertise with Azure services (compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring).
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Expert using GitHub commands and migrating from GitHub to a team foundation server (TFS).
  • Hands-on experience with Python and PowerShell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of Zero Trust principles and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Agile delivery mindset, including the ability to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical tasks.
  • Experience with Perforce (Bonus).

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • HashiCorp Terraform Associate
  • DevOps and/or Kubernetes certifications
