Position Summary: This is a unique opportunity to join the team at SaltSep and complete your Level 2 Engineering Operative as part of our team. In this first apprentice year, you will go on rotation round our key departments (Project Engineering, Design Engineering, Sales, Aftersales, the Assembly and Welding Workshops, Warehouse and Health and Safety), acquiring the skills, knowledge and foundational experience to pursue your career in Engineering. At the end of your apprenticeship there may be the opportunity to continue with us onto a Level 3 apprenticeship (where placements are available).
Responsibilities:
- Get hands-on experience learning how to engineer, design and build our bespoke and unique RO plants, gaining the knowledge and skills to kickstart your career in engineering.
- Work with customers on their water treatment requirements; contribute to manufacturing products they need and support the local UK business that serves global clients.
- Learn about the end-to-end process from client request to commissioning, within a small on-site team.
- Develop technical expertise in disciplines such as pipefitting, welding and other tool-based skills, with guidance and support to progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in key company projects as part of the apprentice journey.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Age: 16+
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade A*-E / 9-3 including English and Maths
