Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our highly experienced Design Team. This role is essential in delivering both customer and in‑house projects, producing designs that align with industry standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in RO and water filtration plant design and will contribute their skills in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Production: Create RO and water filtration plant designs using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Basic Material Requirements Planning (BOM & MRP): Create BOMs to support smooth material procurement.
- Component Design: Frame fabrication using the Frame Generator program. Pipework utilizing the Tube & Pipe program. Pressure vessel design to PD5500 standards using Inventor. 3D part modelling.
- Manufacturing Drawings: Develop accurate manufacturing drawings with detailed parts lists/BOMs for internal fabrication shops (mild and stainless steel).
- Machining Drawings: Produce highly‑toleranced machining drawings for internal machine shops.
- Assembly Drawings: Prepare plant assembly drawings in 2D and 3D formats.
- Sales Support: Generate 3D general assembly drawings for sales quotations.
- Vault Management: Organise and control usage of Vault design software.
- Project Management: Work under strict project deadlines and collaborate closely with Design and Project teams.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct FEA analysis, inspect equipment in‑house and at supplier sites, and perform pre‑delivery inspections.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with workshop personnel to ensure timely assembly of equipment.
- Client Interaction: Conduct site surveys and maintain high customer satisfaction.
