Job Description
SEN Projects Officer
Rate: £300 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Initially 3 months
Location: Hybrid – 1-2 days per week onsite in Enfield
We're looking for a proactive and well-organised SEN Projects Officer to join a SEND Service team delivering high-quality operational and strategic support. You'll help ensure the service meets its statutory duties around Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans by leading on key administrative projects and working closely with families and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate key SEN service projects and training activities
- Lead on developing and maintaining templates, documents, and workflows
- Support the delivery of induction and service development plans
- Respond to Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests (SARs)
- Liaise with education, health, and care professionals and families
- Record and maintain accurate data across systems to monitor compliance and performance
- Organise mediation and pre-meeting arrangements and document outcomes
- Attend working groups and development forums to enhance service efficiency
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong administrative background with excellent use of Microsoft Office
- Experience within education, local authority, or children's services
- Able to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
- Comfortable producing reports, documentation, and coordinating training
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially in multi-stakeholder settings
- Understanding of SEN processes, legislation, and pathways is highly beneficial
