Job Description

Platform Engineer (Golang)

Rate: £310 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 6 months

Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite in London or Brighton

We're hiring for a skilled Platform Engineer (Golang) to help deliver secure, scalable, and flexible cloud infrastructure through automation and DevOps best practices. You'll join a high-performing team working across cloud provisioning, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and container orchestration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build reusable infrastructure modules and tooling using Golang and Terraform
  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable reference architectures in AWS
  • Support the setup and automation of CI/CD pipelines, testing and release processes
  • Work within Agile teams to deliver fast, high-quality platform solutions
  • Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Implement monitoring, self-service tooling, and ephemeral environments to streamline development and operations
  • Produce high-quality documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong software engineering background with expertise in Golang and infrastructure development
  • Proven experience with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling such as Git and Jenkins
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native patterns
  • Experience with Docker and scripting for automation
  • Strong focus on code quality, testing, and best practices in a DevOps environment
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams and communicating clearly across engineering, product, and security stakeholders
  • Passionate about improving developer experience and contributing to team knowledge-sharing

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Kafka, gRPC, GraphQL, or policy-as-code tools like Sentinel or OPA
