We're recruiting for a Senior Software Integration Developer (.NET) to join a high-impact digital programme delivering national clinical information systems across Wales. You'll be working within a multi-disciplinary Agile team developing features for the Welsh Nursing Care Record (WNCR) and related applications, supporting the delivery of modern, tech-enabled healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software components using the .NET stack (C#), working across UI, API, messaging, and integrations.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Specialists, and other developers within a well-structured Scrum team.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices.
- Lead on software delivery applying sound design principles (SOLID, OOP, etc.).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience developing with .NET/C#
- Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
- Hands-on experience with T-SQL and SQL Server
- Familiarity with: JavaScript, jQuery, Web APIs / XML Web Services, Agile/Scrum delivery, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Dependency Injection (e.g., Unity)
Desirable:
- Exposure to NHS systems or healthcare projects
- Experience with HL7 messaging or integration tools
- Understanding of database schema design and modern architecture patterns
Working Arrangements:
- Remote-first working model
- Some travel required to Cardiff office (Ty Glan-yr-Afon) for onboarding and key meetings
