Data Migration Specialist – SAP S/4HANA
Local Government – London
£650/day – Inside IR35 – 12-month contract – 2-3 days onsite
Salt is partnering with a leading Local Government client in London on a major ERP transformation programme. They are replacing a legacy SAP system with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, covering Finance, HR, and Payroll. This is a high-profile, business-critical project with a September 2026 go-live for Finance and December 2026 for Payroll.
We are looking for a Data Migration Specialist to join the project team as soon as possible. This role will be pivotal in ensuring data readiness and integrity ahead of migration, working closely with the systems integrator and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, cleanse, and prepare legacy master data across Finance, HR, and Payroll.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring "clean" data for migration.
- Collaborate with the systems integrator on ETL activities, reviewing extracted and transformed data before loading.
- Provide guidance to the business on data standards and cleansing priorities.
- Support ongoing data quality checks post-migration.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering data migration for ERP transformation programmes.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA migration experience (Public Cloud experience desirable).
- Strong background in data analysis, cleansing, and validation across Finance, HR, and Payroll.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 2-3 days onsite in London (more during key project phases).

- Day Rate: £650/day (Inside IR35)
