Salt is joining forces with one of the UK largest beauty retailers as they hire a Email Marketing Manager to support their team on an ASAP starting role!
Reporting directly to their Digital Communications Manager, you will lead the strategy, execution, and team management for all Email and SMS communications across the European Market.
You will oversee responsibility for delivering impactful digital campaigns, automated programs, and CRM initiatives that engage both Trade and Retail customers, driving footfall and conversions both in-store and online with measurable ROI. You will leverage data and technology to implement optimal solutions for automation, personalisation, and omnichannel communications.
Note that this will be a hybrid operating role (2-3 days per week) to their Greater London HQ.
What you’ll be doing:

Oversee the development and execution of email and SMS campaigns, collaborating with other digital channel owners and the Campaign team.

Partner with the Social Media team to identify email/social campaign opportunities to boost customer engagement and sales.

Work to optimise customer segmentation and ensure precise targeting.

Effectively analyse campaign performance, report on ROI, and recommend strategies for future improvements and testing.

Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities to drive innovation in campaigns.

Define and lead the email strategy for Sally Europe, covering BAU campaigns, automated programs, CRM initiatives, and discount triggers.

Create and manage monthly email plans and write detailed briefs, including campaign copywriting.

Liaise with the Content team to ensure timely asset creation based on campaign needs and trends.

Manage relationships with external stakeholders/Category Managers for campaign requests.

Partner with the Ecommerce team to streamline the customer journey.

Oversee a robust test-and-learn program to support in optimise campaign ROI.

Define and manage the SMS strategy, including an annual plan for BAU campaigns, automated programs, CRM initiatives, and discount triggers.

Manage budgets, monitor usage and ensure cost-effective campaign execution.

Coordinate any/all requests with external agencies.

Oversee the management and continuous improvement of automated programs across all markets.

Leverage the Emarsys platform to execute omnichannel campaigns that enhance customer experience and conversion.

Circa 5 years’ retail marketing experience i.e. email, SMS, digital, CRM

Experience in event driven/automated communication

Hold an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end process of direct marketing and CRM digital communications.

Be proficient in analysing and interpreting data and insights to design and implement effective digital communication programs.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and teams.

Experience in designing unique customer journeys and delivering corresponding digital communications.

Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate results and insights to internal stakeholders.
