Digital Health Procurement Specialist

Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Rate: Β£350 to Β£360 per day
Band: 8b
Duration: 26 October 2026 to 31 March 2027
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm
Engagement: Direct engagement only

A healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced Digital Health Procurement Specialist to lead procurement for clinical and non clinical digital health equipment, systems and managed services.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will manage a multimillion pound digital health portfolio, supporting strategic projects and delivering savings and service improvements.

Key responsibilities

* Develop digital health procurement strategies, category plans and tender schedules.
* Lead complex, high value competitive tenders and supplier negotiations.
* Work with clinical, digital and project stakeholders to develop specifications and evaluation criteria.
* Advise on procurement options, contractual terms and commercial risks.
* Identify savings, standardisation and opportunities to consolidate expenditure.
* Agree service level agreements and KPIs, manage supplier performance and resolve contractual issues.
* Report on project delivery, achieved savings and future opportunities.

Essential experience

* Significant experience negotiating multimillion pound digital health contracts.
* A track record of delivering substantial procurement savings.
* Experience managing large competitive tenders within public sector or major corporate procurement.
* Strong understanding of tender evaluation, contractual terms and purchase to pay processes.
* Purchasing knowledge gained through a degree, CIPS, IACCM qualifications or equivalent experience.

NHS experience and PRINCE2 or MSP qualifications are desirable.
