I'm currently supporting one of Europe's leading financial market infrastructure organisations on the appointment of an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Collateral Management and Capital Markets.
This is an opportunity to join a major transformation programme where you'll work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and engineering teams to shape end‑to‑end technology solutions across the Collateral Management domain.
The role would suit someone who understands how collateral processes work from a business perspective and can translate those requirements into pragmatic technology solutions.
- What you'll be doing
- Define end‑to‑end solution architectures across the Collateral Management domain.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Domain Architects and Engineering teams.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solution designs.
- Produce target‑state architectures and solution roadmaps.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards.
- Define integration patterns across multiple business applications.
- Participate in architecture governance and design reviews.
- Help shape reusable architecture patterns and best practices.
- Work across both strategic architecture and delivery.
What we're looking for
- Strong understanding of Collateral Management rather than purely technical architecture experience.
- Experience across several of the following: Collateral Management, Settlement, Custody, Capital Markets, Post‑Trade Processing, Securities Services, Margin Management, Securities Financing, Repo.
- Experience in roles such as Solution Architect, Business Architect, Domain Architect, Application Architect, Technical Architect.
- Knowledge of Event‑Driven Architecture, Microservices, REST APIs, Integration Architecture, Mainframe environments, Cloud technologies, Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar).
About you
You'll be someone who can comfortably engage with both business and technology stakeholders, understands how enterprise applications fit together, and can design practical, end‑to‑end solutions that support large‑scale business transformation.
Previous experience within Capital Markets, Post‑Trade, Settlement, Custody or Collateral Management environments is essential.
Contract Details
12‑month initial contract, 8 days per month on‑site in London / Brussels or Paris.
The remainder of the contract is remote.
Long‑term transformation programme. *Rates depend on experience and client requirements.
