Role: SEND Business Analyst
Rate: Up to £500 per day
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Duration: Initially until 31 January 2026 with likely 3-month extension
Working Pattern: Full-time (35 hours per week), mostly remote
Overview:
Over the past four months, the organisation has been developing a set of KPIs for both the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) programme and the wider service. These KPIs are designed to support performance monitoring against DfE Delivering Better Value (DMO) mitigations and to enable the Head of Service to manage resources and performance more effectively. These KPIs are now ready to be developed further.
We are seeking an experienced SEND Business Analyst to lead and support the next stage of this work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finalise and prioritise KPIs for inclusion in the SEND performance dashboard
- Define or improve the business processes and systems needed to collect relevant data
- Enhance data input and collection efficiency across the service
- Support the development of the SEND and DMP (Delivering Better Value Management Plan) dashboards
- Collaborate with the data team and Power BI developer to build and iterate dashboard outputs
- Support the Head of Service in establishing performance management frameworks for SEND managers and teams
- Provide performance reports and analysis for DMP and other relevant boards and governance groups
- Promote the effective use of reports and insights within the SEND service
- Contribute to the development of a job description and person specification for a future permanent SEND Business Analyst post
